- What is Collect?
- Collect is more than an agency and gallery. It's a point of connection and a unique brand of art and art services. Collect is founded by San Francisco designers and entrepreneurs, Lauren Geremia and Leila Banijamali. We connect artists to wall space and create dynamic events that have been well-attended by artists, art-lovers, and the surrounding community at large. In addition to the art events, workshops, and film screenings that we operate out of our two well-appointed galleries in downtown Oakland, we also organize off-site events where we enter empty spaces, install select works of art, and create customized social experiences that are informed by the art pieces themselves. The artists we work with are fresh and talented and as excited about our ideas as we are. We sell, rent, and commission artwork directly to designers, homeowners, and commercial establishments in the Bay Area, while ensuring that the artists receive a larger commission than what is offered by the traditional gallery model.
